Our Impact

Since April 2018, we have noted the students’ enthusiasm to read and read in general. We discovered that we could help to further garner the potential and possibilities for these students. Since there was not a functional school library, we decided to initiate a project. After speaking with the principal, we were able to get refurbish the library, installed new shelves, decorate with flowers, posters and other artifacts. We were also able to have a case built to display trophies, as well as other antique cultural artifacts.

By July 2018 we furnished the library with 100 books and 30 book ends. December 2018, a container with 200 more books and book baskets (for displaying and storing books) were shipped. Reports from the principal were favorable and students were enjoying the variety of books that were available for them to read; they were reading them quickly and couldn’t wait to borrow others from the library.

April 2019, books were purchased and received from a book drive. We also purchased character inspired toys to decorate the library. June 2019, 400 books shipped. The school board was excited about the new look of the library and the progress.

David Ogden Stiers says, "Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten."

The Covid-19 pandemic caused any of the students at Brandon Hill Primary to experience the feelings of being left behind. As many students around the world were provided with tablets and laptops to aid their schooling from home, the Brandon Hill Primary students had to find alternatives.

On Sunday, July 25, 2021, The Arthur Henry Organization gathered funds to donate 12 tablets to students of the school. Students had written letters to the members of the Board explaining why they needed electronics to help their learning.

The Acting Principal, reminded the students to take care of the tablets and use them primarily for their school work. Since the students were attending Summer school, they were able to use the tablets. Those students cannot say that they were forgotten because we have seen them as family.

To those who have donated thus far, THANK YOU for all of your help. Without your assistance, these students below would not have possibly missed out on the next steps of their educational journeys.
